Luke
Luke was not a disciple of Jesus, but was a convert of the apostle Paul. Thus, the information contained in Luke’s Gospel is not an account like that found in Matthew. Luke means “luminous,” or “light-giving.” When one ceases to cling to material things, the luminous state of mind endures.
